Background & Mission
The gTLD Registries Stakeholder Group (RySG) represents the interests of gTLD registry operators within the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) Community. The RySG works with other groups within ICANN’s bottom-up, multistakeholder community to develop policies and work on topics that impact the operation of the Domain Name System. The RySG is part of the Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO).
The guiding principles for the RySG are fairness, openness, and transparency in all its policies, practices, and operations. In all its activities, RySG members adhere to ICANN’s Bylaws and Policies; support the consensus model; treat others with dignity, respect, courtesy, and civility; listen attentively to understand others; act with honesty, sincerity, and integrity; and maintain community good standing.
